VFIS Emergency Vehicle Operator Course (EVOC):
Students will become familiar with the safety requirements and skills necessary to drive an emergency vehicle. The first class is taught as a group in an office setting and the second class is hands-on driving through a course. Ample time is also given on the final day to practicing the skills learned in the classroom. This course is a prerequisite for driving an emergency vehicle and for obtaining the EMSVO credential. EMS continuing education credits may be awarded for successful completion or the course.
